Calling Xangans; Hollywood Calling; Help
Dear Xanga Friends,
Right now I am ready to throw this lap top across the room and smash it to bits. It just erased my entire letter to you which asked kindly for the mercy of all of you who have taken an interest in, “Pinkhoneysuckle,” and if those of you who mentioned wanting to read it; Then I am asking you, pleading with you, to please put a review in my Amazon sales site under author’s name: Barbara Everett Heintz – Amazon, Kindle Ready, and Create Space. Obviously, I know that a lot of you are busy, and who has the time to read a story about a mid century Appalachian girl and her journey in to the darkest places she never knew existed until the dark places consumed her and left her with only fate and grace to restore her. The history of the northern migration is excellent, if I do say so, and if you wonder where the people in your area who settled near the river banks came from and sound to this day as if they came out of a woods in Georgia; the book is going to tell you that. You know that our country has secret third worlds of people, but I do not believe you understand the vastness and the curious nature of Appalachian people where the food, the worship; All are different.. If you did read my book, and I know we’ve sold some; Would you please go to my spot on Amazon and give my brother and I a review of the good parts you read. No one is going to love everything about it; But it would certainly help me in Hollywood to get more reviews, and if this book makes history and actually becomes a movie; Then I will bless you all for being a part of its getting to that point. Since I won the first honorable mention for biography/autobiography in San Francisco, I am hoping for better in Hollywood; so please take the time to review what you have read from me: Barbara Everett Heintz, Author, “Pinkhoneysuckle,” Amazon, Kindle Ready and Create Space, and easily ordered through independents anywhere.
God Bless – Better Stories Ahead
Barb Hz

I know that feeling! Anytime i write a post of any length i use word pad first and hope i don’t accidentally delete it also on this so very sensitive keyboard attached to my small laptop! If i remember right, somewhere on word pad you can retrieve what you just lost also if it too disappears! I also stop every few paragraphs and save it…You being a writer , loosing has to be equal to mental abuse!
If only i could attach a desktop keyboard i would not loose so much and also could type a little faster with less mistakes. ok..for whatever reason that was extra…Venting..
@a_thousandmiles - Usually, I can type rapidly, and my fingers keep us with thoughts, but my physician hit me with pain meds today endeavoring to give me some relief from a body which is smashing vertebra down, because I mistreated it so in my nursing career. I did lifting weight lifters could not have done, but now I am at 5-2 down from 5-7; Pain leads to depression, and I love beautiful food living in San Francisco where all foodies must come to greet the bounty. Next week, my physician, a great guy, is going to pick me up and take me to Eaters Anonymous, but I know the drill; Most people do, that eating almost vegetarian, whole grains, drinking water, losing the sweets; These are the rule, and if one can exercise anything; then you exercise. It is not brain surgery, but Eaters Anonymous treats it as a chronic, not a fixable problem. My sister works for CDC, and ten years before all of this fat American attack, she told me it was coming, and people may or may not understand, that for the decrease in health care related diseases; Getting a fit population will bring the dollars down, and that is why we are on the lose weight or suffer the consequences of being stuck with flying first class, even the embarrassment of restaurant chairs not made for large people. My Dr. here is escorting his patients to the meetings, something we would not see back in our other place in the midwest. Medicine is kinder here.
The more you type, the better you are going to get with these keyboards, and the joy of blogging is that we are all imperfect. I rarely proof read things, for if they know my blog style, then they can tell if it is a day when things are not in synch, so don’t worry about the perfection. Let your mind relax, and thoughts ease on the paper, and you will find yourself unburdened by letting a story and not an assignment show up in your writings. You are young, and your life is new, and we oldies like to hear from caring younger people. It is incredibly boring not to have some sunshine on our pages.
Your youth makes it mandatory that you get technology down as it moves on, so I encourage you for the sake of building confidence, to take some computer refresher courses. My friend, I was so terrified to do email just a few years ago, then I sat down and wrote my book. I tell everyone; you bless me if you just read the free parts and comment on what you read. It is, “Pinkhoneysuckle,” Amazon, Kindle Ready, and on Create Space.
Thank you for contacting me, and all the best. We are all fragile, but it is nice to familiarize yourself with a few people, and then blog away! Wash those thoughts out, and someone will read it. I promise you. Blessings to you.
